About the choir

Welcome

Forest Gate Singers is a new community choir, launching on 1st October 2025. Led by inspirational conductor Seb Marshall, the choir will sing a range of exciting repertoire. There are no auditions and everyone is welcome to join!

We believe everyone can sing, and as an experienced choral conductor, Seb can help you to gain confidence and control using your voice. You don’t need to have sung in a choir before to join, and we will use a combination of sheet music and learning by ear.

The choir is part of the Hannah Brine family of choirs, which includes groups in North and East London, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Derbyshire.

Hannah’s choirs have performed at the BBC Proms, Royal Variety Show, Olivier Awards and many other events. She was awarded an inaugural BBC Unsung Hero Award for her work with community choirs.
